Alon Mylo is a 23 year old upcoming artist from Tel Aviv who is currently based in Los Angeles. Alon is very passionate about producing and making music. Mylo has been working on a song titled “Sundance”, which is his debut single from his first album. He has been working hard for the past two years to achieve happiness and to give joy to others through his music. This song in particular was born after a long period of depression and with this single he aims to achieve a unique blend of pop, alternative, and hip-hop sounds.
Mylo started to develop the distinct sound after watching a video of Kanye West producing and dancing to his beats. From that moment, Alon thought to himself “I want to make something that will make me dance like him in that video.” Using his heavy feelings as his inspiration, Mylo wrote Sundance to “a happy beat to cave into the happiness, while I was in a deep depression.” Originally Mylo wanted to feel tension in the music, but the beat came along and transformed his happier emotions into the fabric of the song. Sundance helped Alon through this dark time and the song as a whole represents the overcoming of this depression, which makes him very proud. This song is part of the overall concept for Alon’s album that he had in mind when making Sundance, and the album cover reflects these same feelings. Mylo has synesthesia, a lucky condition in which an individual sees colors or shapes when listening to music. This song in particular represents yellow to him, since he says “yellow is the color of happiness.” The song recently released on all streaming platforms, and is gaining major traction after being featured on a few radio stations including IDC Radio and AFX London Radio. Be sure to listen to this energetic, upbeat and happy song full of summer vibes!
